Travel increases your chances of getting and spreading COVID-19. Depending on your country and jurisdiction, international and domestic travel may be permitted. If you travel, is it essential to follow the travel regulations for your destination and place of return. The U.S. Department of State provides the latest information regarding international travel on the Bureau of Consular Affairs website.
In addition to following the regulations of your country and municipality, individuals are advised to take the appropriate precautions to protect themselves and others:
- Wash your hands often with warm soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If you can’t wash your hands, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Remain at least six feet from others.
- Wear a cloth face covering.
- If you develop symptoms during or after travel, immediately notify your Primary Care Provider.
